The library at Eastern Montgomery Elementary is a great place to visit!  We have 25 computers and over 10,000 books and magazines.  The library serves about 525 student in grades PK - 5th.  The PK classes visits the library for 30 minutes each week.  K-2nd visit every other week.  3rd-5th do not have a scheduled time.  They come down with their teachers and do fun activities, research, book talks, check out books, etc.  All students are also encouraged to use the library individually during open times to exchange their books.

A great time is always had by all in the Library when the Scholastic Book Fair arrives!  We have one in the Fall and one in the Spring.  The next book Fair is Oct. 19-26, 2017.  All proceeds for the Fair go to the purchase of library books and equipment.

My husband and I moved to Blacksburg from the St. Louis area in 2005.  We have 2 sons - Patrick, who is in the Navy and has finished Law School and David, who is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada-Reno in Environmental Engineering.  Both of our sons were married in 2016!
