Welcome to 2nd grade :-) I am looking forward to a fabulous school year!  I truly love children, and I am excited for the opportunity to work with your child.  There are so many fun things to learn in second grade, and I anticipate new opportunities for growth and exploration. I have been working in schools in West Virginia and Virginia in several different capacities for many years.  My early years were spent as a substitute teacher while I raised my three young daughters.  Then, I had the opportunity to work as a reading specialist.  I began working at EMES as a second grade teacher last year, soon after I married.  Now, I have a cool step-son, allowing my youngest daughter the opportunity to be a big sister.
